This isn’t a stop — it’s space. A pause to let readiness catch up. Read More

This pause is a promise — to honour the mission, deepen the movement, and continue building what the world is ready for.

Dear Dare toRe-Treat-er’

The Dare to ‘Re-Treat’ movement was created to challenge burnout culture and reimagine self-care as sustainable leadership.
It exists to help people step out of survival mode and back into alignment—to choose presence over performance, rest over routine, and compassion over constant doing. It’s a movement about readiness, about choosing differently, and about reclaiming the humanity we lose when we move too fast for too long.

In preparing for the October 23rd, 2025 Self-Care Experience, every element was ready—the program, the presenters, the design, the details. Yet something deeper began to reveal itself. The enthusiasm was real. The resonance was strong. But readiness—the willingness to enter that space of disruption and rest—felt tender.

What we’ve witnessed is clarity — a deeper understanding of where this work needs to meet people.
It’s proof that this movement is meeting people exactly where they are—in the tension between wanting change and fearing what it asks of them.

Underneath it all lies something profoundly human:
fear.
Fear of slowing down.
Fear of vulnerability.
Fear of choosing yourself in a world that rewards self-sacrifice and constant doing.

What’s become clear through this process is that the world isn’t resisting the message — it’s wrestling with it. There’s a collective push-and-pull that shows up when people are invited to choose themselves without needing to justify it. Many can rationalize an “earned vacation” or another full calendar, yet hesitate when rest or reflection asks for equal priority. This pause isn’t about changing course or recalibrating the mission — it’s about allowing time for readiness to catch up. People need space to recognize that choosing themselves isn’t indulgent. It’s leadership. It’s self-trust. And it’s the quiet strength that true sustainability requires.

So we’re choosing to pause.
To listen.
To realign.

Because this is Dare to ‘Re-Treat’ in practice—the embodiment of what we teach. To slow down when urgency calls. To reflect when outcomes fall short. To listen to what’s being revealed instead of forcing what isn’t ready.

While the Fall 2025 experience will not unfold as planned, the Dare to ‘Re-Treat’ movement is very much alive—expanding, reimagining, and deepening its reach.

In the months ahead, we’ll be cultivating new partnerships, building fresh collaborations, and creating experiences that meet people in their readiness—with gentleness, honesty, and care. This moment is a bridge between what has been built and what’s about to take form.

We’re giving the message, and the people it’s meant for, time to meet each other in the middle.

To everyone who has believed in this vision, shared encouragement, and felt the resonance of this mission—thank you. Your belief is the heartbeat of what’s next.

💜 The movement isn’t pausing—it’s deepening.
